Nosepass with Sturdy by GlitzerKirby

GlitzerKirby is one of the German artists that followed the call and joined GA-HQ due to the Pokemon Tribute in 2016. His three Generation I contributions covered Hitmonchan, Voltorb and finally Doduo with the Run Away move that nobody else drew in the Gen I & II Projects. He returned quickly in both our Gen II and Gen III Tributes and is on board the just started Gen IV Project as well!

You can see his whole gallery on dA here!

Sturdy

“If the Pokémon’s HP is full, moves that would defeat the Pokémon instead leave the Pokémon with 1 HP!”

Sturdy is an ability that was introduced in the Generation III games and defends the user against one-hit K.O moves. Since Generation V until today it also works like a Focus Sash.

Nosepass was the first Pokemon in our Generation Tributes that used this ability.

Nosepass used Rock Blast by freqrexy

Bev Wooff / Freqrexy from the United Kingdom creates art for 13 years already and joined our Pokemon Tribute as one of the first artists in May already. In the end, she contributed not less than eight of the 151 Pokemon for it in 2016 and returned with four Pokemon in our Gen II Tribute and another stunning 16! of the 135 Gen III Pokemon, making her the direct “rival” of Yggdrassal, the only other artists in our community who ever contributed 16 Pokemon for one of the Generation tributes!

She is also one of the GA-HQ Patreon Supporters and helps me to create the galleries by writing the descriptions of many of the Pokemon and the illustrated moves and abilities 🙂

You can see a lot of drawn art but also crafted items and even cosplay in her gallery here!

Rock Blast

“The user hurls hard rocks at the target. Two to five rocks are launched in a row.”

Rock Blast is a Rock-type move with a small power of 25 but a chance to make up to 5 hits in one turn!

If used in a contest this attack will be considered to be tough by the judges. If a Pokemon with the ability Skill Link uses it, unless the inital move misses, this attack will always hit 5 times, and additionally, if they are holding a Razor Fang or a King’s Rock the opposing Pokemon may also flinch after the attack ends. Nosepass can learn Rock Blast naturally at the level of 28.

#299 Nosepass

“It hunts without twitching a muscle by pulling in its prey with powerful magnetism. But sometimes it pulls natural enemies in close.”

Nosepass is a Rock-type Pokémon and the pre-evolution form of Probopass, evolving when it’s leveled up in a specific magnetic field. It has a base stat of 375.

The Hoenn gym leader, Roxanne owns a Nosepass that she uses to battle with Ash in the anime and Red in the Pokemon Adventures manga. It was known to be a female Nosepass with an adamant nature but was beaten by both Red and Ash in their respective media.

The nose is magnetic and Nosepass cannot get too close to others as the magnetic field would repel them away and when it feels in danger it raises its magnetism to pull iron objects in near to itself to protect it. It has a 50% chance of being male or female and can either come with the ability ‘Sturdy’ or ‘Magnet Pull’.
