Seel used Icy Wind by Illusionary-Illumi

Julie from Belgium joined the Pokemon Tribute in May already and  quickly claimed the first spots for Lickitung and Seel, later she also contributed one of the two Taurus illustrations! I liked her cute style to draw the Pokemons a lot, you can see a lot more of that here!

“A chilling attack that lowers the foe’s speed.”

As one can guess Icy Wind is an Ice-Type move that blows gusts of freezing wind towards an opponent. The opponent not only receives damage but also has their speed decreased by one level.

Though many Ice-Type Pokemon can inherit or learn this move, it was also available as a TM move starting in Generation II.

Bev Wooff / Freqrexy from the United Kingdom creates art since 13 years already and joined our Pokemon Tribute as one of the first artists in May already. In the end she contributed not less than seven of the 151 Pokemon for it, starting with Chansey and Parasect, up to Koffing, Seel and Golem and eventually Golem, Jynx and Magnemite which was one of the last 10 Pokemon drawn for this project. She joined out Generation III Art Tribute and increased her artwork tenfold with Taillow, Makuhita, Dusclops, Glalie, Snubbull and many more!

You can see a lot of drawn art but also crafted items and even cosplay in her gallery here!

“The user goes to sleep for two turns. It fully restores the user’s HP and heals any status problem. “

Rest is a non-attacking Psychic-Type move where the user falls asleep for two turns to restore HP and heal status abnormalities. It has been available since Generation I and onward as TM move 44. (TM44)

Though good for ridding the user of status ailments, the user’s HP will not be restored if the user is already at full health while using the move.

“The protruding horn on its head is very hard. It is used for bashing through thick ice.”

Seel is a Water-Type Pokemon that lives in frigid cold oceans among the ice flows. Though graceful in the water it is rather awkward on land. It uses its large horn on its head to drill holes in the ice to breathe through.

At level 34, Seel will evolve into Dewgong where it will adopt a dual-type nature of Water and Ice. Though it should be noted that even before this, Seel can still use Ice-Type moves.
