Bev Wooff / Freqrexy from the United Kingdom creates art since 13 years already and joined our Pokemon Tribute as one of the first artists in May already. In the end she contributed not less than seven of the 151 Pokemon for it, starting with Chansey and Parasect, up to Koffing, Seel and Golem and eventually Golem, Jynx and Magnemite which was one of the last 10 Pokemon drawn for this project.

You can see a lot of drawn art but also crafted items and even cosplay in her gallery here!

“The user restores its own HP by up to half of its maximum HP. May also be used in the field to heal HP”

Soft Boiled is a health-point healing move that was debuting in the classic Pokemon games already. It heals up to 50% of the users HP and can also be used on the field to heal your Pokemon.

Cynthia Fo from Singapore is one of the few Asian artists that participated in our Pokémon Tribute. She started with Psyduck and later drew a similar cute take on Chansey. I look forward to see more art of that kind by her!

“A soothing song lulls the foe into a deep slumber. “

More popularly associated with Jigglypuff,Sleep is a non-damaging Normal-Type move introduced in Generation I. The soothing voice of the Pokemon is enough to put any opponent to sleep.

Undoubtedly an annoyance to opponents in Generation I and II, Sleep has since been countered by Pokemon with the Insomnia, Vital Spirit and Soundproof Ability.

“A gentle and kind-hearted Pokémon that shares its nutritious eggs if it sees an injured Pokémon”

I love Eggs, and Chansey looks almost like a living Egg, merged with Kirby to me.

This guy is a Normal Type Pokemon which evolves from Happiny which was introduced many years after Chansey in the Pokemon Gen IV games. It can evolve in the cute Blissey, one of the Gen II Pokemon.
