Tyrogue used Bullet Punch by FranjoGutierrez

Francisco Gutierrez from Spain is a part of the FGE & Game-Art-HQ Community since years and participated mostly in projects that were related to fighting games so his claim to take Rhydon in May 2016 and return with Tyrogue when we started our Gen II Tribute was pretty awesome!

I recommend to have a look at his whole gallery on dA here.

Bullet Punch

“The user strikes the target with tough punches as fast as bullets. This move always goes first”

The Bullet Punch attack was introduced in the Pokemon Generation IV games and is a Steel-Type move. It does not have any special effects but it has a nice priority +1 stat which can be extremely useful since the Bullet Punch will be activated before any other attacks that have no priority bonus.

Tyrogue is the first Pokemon in our Tribute that uses this attack!

Tyrogue used Low Sweep by Yggdrassal

Yggdrassal from the United States is an active part of the Game-Art-HQ Community since around three years now and contributed a good couple of video game artworks that are about games that are rarely getting any attention now.

He participated with a Timesplitters 3 entry as example and Rocket: Robots on Wheels as part of our Nintendo 64 Tribute this year. He joined the Pokémon Gen I Tribute with Dodrio in the first May week already and drew seven more of the little Gen I creatures. He also holds the record of the most submissions for our Gen II Pokemon tribute with not less than 11 of the 100 Pokemon being illustrated by him!

I recommend to check out his gallery where you can see a lot more video game fan art including more Pokémon love as well.

Low Sweep

“The user attacks the target’s legs swiftly, reducing the target’s Speed stat”

The Low Sweep is a damage dealing attack that was introduced in Generation V. It has a good power rating of 65 (before Gen VI just 60) and also lowers the opponents speed stats by one level.

Tyrogue is the only Pokemon yet that uses the Low Sweep in our art collaboration!

#236 Tyrogue

“To brush up on its fighting skills, it will challenge anyone. It has a very strong competitive spirit.”

Tyrogue is a Fighting-type Pokemon that has a gender ratio of 100% male and can evolve into three different Pokemon! These Pokemon are Hitmonlee if Tyrogue is evolved if it’s attack is higher than it’s defence, Hitmonchan if it is evolve with a higher defence than attack, and Hitmontop if attack and defence are the same.

It is known to have a boundless energy and a constant drive to make itself stronger. It will often attack enemies larger than itself and can be found nursing wounds from said battles.

In the Pokemon anime, a wild Tyrogue was found terrorising and stealing from nearby travellers while Ash and his friends were on their travels. A black belt trainer named Kiyo was determined to earn Tyrogue’s trust and train it. With the help of Ash, they won Tyrogue over and it agreed to train with Kiyo.
