Swablu using Astonish by Kosmotiel

Kosmotiel from Australia is a big Nintendo fan and a part of this community since years. Her contributions for our first Pokemon Art Tribute were the mighty Articuno and the fierce Gengar. She continued to be a part of our Pokemon Tributes in 2017 & 2018 and contributed her takes on Natu and Espeon from Gen II and Combusken, Altaria, Swablu and Breloom in our Generation III Collaboration!

Have a good look at her whole gallery at dA!

Astonish

“An attack that may shock the foe into flinching”

Astonish has been introduced in Generation III, just like Swablu, the first Pokemon in our series of Pokemon Tributes that is using it. Astonish is a Ghost-type move that has a 30% of causing Flinch to the opponent beside dealing damage. Back in the Gen III games, it will also do the double amount of damage if the enemy used Minimize before!

Swablu using Feather Dance by drjhordan

Jordano from Brazil is an active artist for over six years and was one of the first people who joined the GA-HQ Pokémon Tribute when it was announced on the 29th of April in 2016. He was one of the 9 artists that contributed six Pokémon in 2016 and in 2017 he contributed another four Pokemon artworks for Sunflora, Corsola, Houndour, and Miltank. He returned of course for our Generation III Tribute as well and got his hands on Gardevoir, Castform, Manectric, Cacturne and the cute Swablu!

Beside the Pokémon, he draws all kinds of art and developed also a good couple of own characters. I recommend you to have a good look at his Gallery on dA!

Feather Dance

“The user covers the foe with a mass of down that sharply lowers the Attack stat”

Feather Dance is a Flying-Type move that was introduced in the Gen III Pokemon Games and is a great method to lower the opponent’s attack stats by two stages. It was the signature move of Pidgey and its two evolutions in the Gen III games. So far, Pidgeotto and Swablu are using the Feather Dance in our series of Pokemon Collaborations!

“Swablu has light and fluffy wings that are like cottony clouds. This Pokémon is not frightened of people. It lands on the heads of people and sits there like a cotton-fluff hat”

Swablu is one of the dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon that were introduced in the Generation III games and can evolve into Altarior when it reaches level 35.
