Misdreavus used Pain Split by imbisibol

Imbisibol from the Philippines is a part of the Game-Art-HQ family since we tributed the classic Mega Man and its 25th Anniversary back in December 2012. I did not know he cares about Pokemon, so it was a surprise to see him claiming Gengar and a bit later also Hitmonchan for our Pokemon Tribute in summer 2016. He returned this year to take on the mysterious Misdreavus 🙂

I recommend to have a look at his whole gallery, especially if you like Mega Man!

Pain Split

“The user adds its HP to the target’s HP, then equally shares the combined HP with the target.”

Pain Split is a non-damaging Normal-type move and the signature move of Misdreavous. It takes off the target’s HP and adds it to its own, and it then divides the new HP to that of itself and the target. It was first introduced in Generation II.

It has an accuracy of 100 so will hit every time and if used in a Pokemon contest then it is seen as a clever move.

Misdreavus used Perish Song by MudSaw

MudSaw from the United States participated in art collaborations before and eventually joined our Pokemon Gen I Tribute with Electrode, Tentacruel and Grimer in our first part of the big Pokemon Project here. This year he returned with Misdreavus, Steelix and Delibird to continue his Triple Battle!

Have a look at his complete portfolio here!

Perish Song

“Any Pokémon that hears this song faints in three turns unless it switches out of battle”

The Perish Song is a Normal-Type attack that was introduced in the Generation II Pokemon games.

It won’t do any damage but every Pokemon that can hear this sound will faint after three turns, including the user itself.

Lapras from Gen I was the first Pokemon that used the Perish Sing in our Tribute!

#200 – Misdreavous

“It likes playing mischievous tricks, such as screaming and wailing to startle people at night.”

Misdreavous is Ghost-type Pokemon that can evolve into Mismagius when exposed to a Dusk Stone. With a 50-50 gender ratio, there is a split chance of a Misdreveous being male or female. It is nocturnal and spends most of the day asleep while it spends the night playing tricks on people.

It is the only Pokemon that can learn Pain Split by levelling up instead of through TM and is known as the screech Pokemon. It is very similar to Murkrow, both evolve with a Dusk Stone and appear to be based off witches.

In the Pokemon Chronicles episode starring Jimmy and Marina, Marina owned a Misdreveous called Little Miss. Little Miss appears to be Marina’s favourite Pokemon as she keeps her outside of her Pokeball. She used Perish Song as a distraction in a battle to allow Jimmy’s Beedril to attack.
