Totodile used Scary Face by Dreamgate-Gad

Dreamgate-Gad from Peru is one of the most active Game-Art-HQ Contributors now since around three years and started with a really unpopular character from the Final Fight games for one of our fighting game related projects.

He continued to participate in almost all later art activites, our Pokémon Tribute however got his full dedication, today in June 2017 he drew already nine of the 151 lovely beasts from the first Generation and was fast to claim the Totodile and Ledian from Gen II as well.

You can see his whole gallery on dA here!

Scary Face

“The user frightens the target with a scary face to harshly lower its Speed stat.”

Scary Face is a normal type move in which the user makes a scary face at its opponent in order to intimidate them, which reduces their speed stat by 2.

This is a move that cannot be taught though TM and one that can only be learnt naturally by specific Pokemon or by breeding it as an egg move onto certain ones. In the generation V games both Scary Face and Glare had identical appearances. The accuracy of this move was changed to 100% from generation V onward.

One of the moves that were not picked for our Generation I Tribute while four artists took it for Gen II Pokemon!

Totodile used Water Gun by Morshute

Morshute is one of the new faces that joined our Pokemon Generation II Tribute in April 2017. She is a young artist from Poland who does not only draw but also maintains a Youtube channel. Totodile was her first and so far only contribution, but we look forward to see her joining again in 2018!

The Water Gun

“The target is blasted with a forceful shot of water.”

Water Gun is a water type move that has a base power of 40 and accuracy of 100%.

It is a very popular move and one introduced in the very first Pokemon games, one that most water Pokemon can either learn naturally or by TM so is a very standard move. This was the first ever move to be seen in the Pokemon Adventures manga.

The Water Gun was used by three Pokemon in our Generation II Art Collaboration. Can you name all three of them? 🙂

#158 – Totodile

“It is small but rough and tough. It won’t hesitate to take a bite out of anything that moves.”

Totodile is the water starter Pokemon of Generation II and a pure water type Pokemon, evolving to Croconaw at level 18 and Feraligatr at level 30. It is based off a crocodile.

As a starter Pokemon, Totodile can only usually be obtained by new Pokemon trainers from a professor, however in the Sun and Moon games it was a Pokemon you could perform an Island Scan on and catch one in the wild on Melemele Island. It prefers to live alongside edges of bodies of water and has a very powerful bite.

In the Pokemon anime, Ash owned a Totodile that he caught during his Johto journey and fought with Misty over who got to keep it as they both went to catch it at the same time. Totodile was a very happy Pokemon that was always dancing and often danced and had fun during Pokemon battles. His Totodile was content staying the way it was and chose not to evolve during the entirety of the anime thus far.
