Typhlosion used Eruption by Patro-Trish & by Pikarry

Patro-Trish from Canada was one of the first 15 artists on board our Pokemon Tribute and submitted her take on Sandshrew in May 2016 already. In March 2017 she was again one of the first artists and quickly claimed Typhlosion!

You can see a lot cat /feline animals related art in her gallery here 🙂

Pikarry is a young artist from Vietnam and her take on Typhlosion is one of the very few illustrations in the Generation II Tribute that were drawn with traditional tools like pencils!

Eruption

“The higher the user’s HP, the more powerful this attack becomes.”

Eruption is a volcanic Fire-Type attack where the damage dealt depends on the user’s HP. The power of the attack formula works basically like this: Power = 150 X Current HP/Overall HP.

The power cannot be less than one; so subsequently it varies between its 1 and 150 power base. Needless to say; the lower the user’s HP, the less damage is dealt.

Currently Cyndaquil, Typhlosion and Entei are illustrated performing the devastating Eruption move!

#157 – Typhlosion

“If its rage peaks, it becomes so hot that anything that touches it will instantly go up in flames.”

Typhlosion is one of three starter Pokemon that first appeared in Gold, Silver and Crystal. It evolves from Quilava at Level 36 and is the final form of Cyndaquil. Unlike its previous forms, it is capable of standing upright; ready to unleash devastating Fire-Type moves.

From timid beginnings as Cyndaquil, it would appear Typhlosion is far more confident and aggressive now that it has reached its peak form. It shifts from a quadrupedal stance to a bipedal stance depending on which Fire-Type move it will use. So intense are the flames it emits; that anything surrounding it will be burned to a crisp

While Ash never was able to ultimately evolve his Cyndaquill into Typhlosion; Pokemon trainer Jimmy from the ‘Legend of Thunder’! anime was able to accomplish this. So successful was his training of Typhlosion; that it’s strength was great enough to save the Legendary Pokemon Raikou from being captured by Team Rocket. The relationship between Jimmy and Typhlosion are like that of Ash and Pikachu; a great friend and fiercely loyal to his trainer.
