Jade is like Princess Kitana and her mother Sindel from the Realm of Edenia, trained in the art of Kombat and sometimes on the good or the bad side, depending from game to game. She made her debut in Mortal Kombat II in 1993 as the first secret female character ever in a fighting game and damn..she was really hard to beat since she was fast and had most if not all the specials of both Kitana and Mileena. She made a return in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995) as a playable character for the first time and had quite unique special moves like being invulnerable to fireballs for a few seconds. Like the most Mortal Kombat characters, Jade looked always a bit different from game to game, but all her designs have it in common that they looked sexy on this deadly assassine. Jade returned again after a long pause in Mortal Kombat. Deception (2004) and got a new and different visual design which made her more popular than before but when Jade returned in Mortal Kombat 9 (2011). After a pause in Mortal Kombat X where Kitana used some of Jade’s moves in one of her variations, Jade returned with many new moves as well as a new design in Mortal Kombat XI (2019). In Mortal Kombat 9`s story mode she is killed by Mileena. In her arcade ending she gets possessed by a mysterious unknown female. |
