Kasumi is the main protagonist in the Dead or Alive fighting game series by Team Ninja that started in 1996 and got over five sequels so far. Kasumi is a playable character in all of them including the last game of the series, Dead or Alive 6  (2019) and also in the spinoff games like the upcoming Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 (2016).

Kasumi is  also a playable character in Warriors Orochi 3 (2011) and in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (2012).

Kasumi is quite popular today and known as the sexy Ninja girl from DOA. She has an older brother (Hayate) and a younger half-sister (Ayane). The antagonist and boss of the first Dead or Alive game Raidou, was actually her Uncle.
