Axel Stone is one of the protagonists in the three Streets of Rage beat’em ups by Sega, released from 1991-1994. Dotemu announced Streets of Rage 4 in August 2018 as a surprise for just everyone, and Axel Stone is one of the playable main protagonists again. He did not make it into any other games beside the fan-made Streets of Rage Remix, sadly we never saw him joining one of the many crossover games with Sega characters so far and a new SOR is not in sight. Seems Sega was inspired by the visual design of Cody Traverse from Final Fight since Axel Stone always looked a lot like him, his fighting style however is a lot different, especially in the 2nd and 3rd game. |
