After the defeat of Shao Kahn, Sonya Blade and Jax formed the Outworld Investigation Agency, later known as the Special Forces but Sonya had almost no time to investigate Outworld. An elder god named Shinnok is becoming a deadly threat for the Thundergod Raiden and the Earthrealm warriors like Liu Kang. She is on a mission now to help the struggling forces of good and needs to survive long enough to warn her government on the new menace brought on by Quan Chi. ~ Sonya’s visual design is strongly based on her Mortal Kombat 3 actress Kerry Hoskins, but the costume has slight changes now,she also has the most of her older moves and a few new ones as well, making her a damn good character in this game. ~ In her ending, Sonya Blade confronts the Black Dragon member Jarek who fought on the side of the Earthrealm Warriors but is still a wanted criminal. He tries to kill Sonya which wasn’t a good idea.
