Like the male Ninjas Scorpion and Reptile, Kitana and Mileena were planned to be in the first version of Mortal Kombat 3 already, but due to problems with the actress of the girls in MKII her comeback had to be delayed and a different actress played Kitana/Mileena/Jade for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Her design changed a bit and is still a fan favourite for many Mortal Kombat players who welcomed the decision to make this outfit available in Mortal Kombat 9 as well as a downloadable costume.
