Relicanth using Skull Bash by SuperEdco

Eric DeSantis is not only a very active part of our community but also the artist behind the logo for our Pokemon Tributes, the Website, and many other art collaborations, he participated in Link’s Blacklist as well as in our fighting game related projects and is one of the guys behind the Rockabilly Beatdown game.

Beside the logo, Eric participated also with three Pokemon in our first part of the project last year and continued his efforts with Natu in 2017 and Zangoose, Barboach and Relicanth in our Gen III Tribute, he is also a part of the Gen IV Project already.

I recommend you to have a look at his gallery on dA which is full of gems to discover!

Skull Bash

“The user tucks in its head to raise its Defense in the first turn, then rams the foe on the next turn”

The Skull Bash is a damage dealing Normal-Type attack that was introduced in the Generation I Pokemon games and mostly known as the signature move by Squirtle and its evolutions at that time. It takes a full turn until Skull Bash actually attacks the opponent.

It has a Power Rating of 130 now since the Gen VI games, before it was just 100. Skull Bash was one of the few remaining Generation I attacks that were not covered until Gen III in our series of Pokemon Art Collaborations. It was first used by Relicanth!

Relicanth using Rock Tomb by SamanthaSpotDeG

Samantha from the USA was an interesting case when she joined our Project in August 2018, there was only one artwork of a Snow Leopard in her gallery on dA already, but we liked it and thought she might doing something interesting with Relicanth for the Gen III Tribute. Our expectations were exceeded and we look forward to see her joining our or other video game related art collaborations sometimes again!

Have a look at her gallery on dA here!

Rock Tomb

“Boulders are hurled at the foe. It also lowers the foe’s Speed by preventing its movement”

The Rock Tomb is a damage dealing  Rock-Type attack that was introduced in the Generation Pokemon III games. It lowers the opponents Speed Stats by one stage. It had a power rating of 50 until the Gen VI games where it was upgraded to 60.

Relicanth

“Relicanth is a rare species that was discovered in deep-sea explorations. This Pokémon’s body withstands the enormous water pressure of the ocean depths. Its body is covered in tough scales that are like craggy rocks”
