Kabuto used Ancient Power by SilverTheCreator

SilverTheCreator was one of the first artists on board our Pokémon Tribute that were not a part of the GA-HQ community before, and we look forward to her future contributions, her take on Bulbasaur was her last of six submissions to this project btw.  Check out her whole portfolio at her gallery here!

“An ancient power is used to attack. It may also raise all the user’s stats. “

Ancient Power is a unique Rock-Type move. While it does inflict damage on the opponent; it’s main draw seems to more or less increase the player’s stats. There is a 10% chance that the player’s Attack, Defense, Speed, Special Attack and Special Defense stats will increase through this move.

Three types of Pokemon are known to evolve from Ancient Power. Tangela will evolve into Tangrowth, Piloswine will evolve into Mamoswine, and Yanma will evolve into Yanmega respectively once knowing this move.

Eric DeSantis is not only a very active part of our community but also the artist behind the Logo for our Pokemon Tribute, the Website and many other art collaborations, he participated in Link’s Blacklist as well as in our fighting game related projects and is one of the guys behind the Rockabilly Beatdown game.

Beside the logo, Eric was the first who claimed one of the two Magikarp spots and later also took Kabuto and Starmie when we searched for artists to take the last available Gen I Pokemon.

I recommend you to have a look at his gallery on dA which is full of gems to discover!

“Hurls mud at the foe and reduces speed. “

Mud Shot is a Ground-Type attack move introduced in Generation III. With moderate power and 95% accuracy, it then lowers the target’s speed which is where it’s main usefulness comes from. A pretty filthy move for sure with some very muddy results.

“A Pokémon that was recovered from a fossil. It uses the eyes on its back while hiding on the sea floor”

Resurrected from a Dome Fossil, Kabuto is a part Rock-Type and part Water-Type dual Pokemon. They ressemble ancient lifeforms known as trilobites. And like trilobites, they were thought to have been extinct over 300 million years ago. They evolve into Kabutops starting at Level 40.

They also ressemble ancient lifeforms still existing today called Horseshoe Crabs. And like Horseshoe crabs they congregate in shoals on the beach. They prefer to live in seclusion on the sea floor and can be very territorial.
