Raikou used Rain Dance by AncientDragoness

Ancient Dragoness was one of the first artists that joined our Pokémon Tribute when we were announcing it on the 29th April 2016.

She made sure to get one of the two spots for one of the most popular Pokémon of  all time with Charizard and submitted her take on the heavy Dragon Claw move only 5 days later already. She also contributed Marowak and Pidgeotto submissions in 2016 and returned with the mighty Raikou when we continued our Pokemon Tribute in 2017!

Her name is programme and you can expect to see a lot Dragon related art in her portfolio on dA here!

Rain Dance

Summons rain for five turns. While it is raining, the power of Water-type moves increases.

Rain Dance is a very interesting move that can be learned by Raikou due to it being a water-type move.

The user dances to summon a rain storm that rages for 2 to 5 turns and boosts the power of water-type moves.

Raikou used Thunder by Kavaro

Kavaro is one of the new artists that joined our Pokemon Generation Tribute in April 2017!

A wicked thunderbolt is dropped on the target to inflict damage. This may also leave the target with paralysis.

Thunder is an incredibly powerful electric move from Generation I and is the strongest electric attack of all time with an attacking power of 110.

A huge thunderbolt is dropped onto the target with a 10% chance of also paralysing them, although it cannot paralyse electric Pokemon.

#243 Raikou

“Its milk is delicious and chock-full of nutrients. However, if you drink too much, it could make your stomach hurt, so be careful.”

Raikou is an Electric-type Pokemon and one of the three legendary dogs alongsied Entei and Suicune. The Johto legend of the Tin Tower says that three unnamed Pokemon died in the fire at the Tin Tower and were resurrected by Ho-oh into Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

It is seen to not trust humans although has been known to make friendships with humans had they helped it. If found in the wild in the Johto games, Raikou will instantly flee to make for a difficult challenge catching it.

Raikou played a big role in the Pokemon Chronicles episode in which Team Rocket members, Attila and Hun were attempting to capture it. A shiny Raikou could be seen in the Pokemon movie ‘Zoroark: Master of Illusions’.
