Charizard used Dragon Claw (Pokemon Tribute on Game-Art-HQ.com by AncientDragoness)

Charizard used Dragon Claw by Ancient Dragoness

Ancient Dragoness was one of the first artists that joined our Pokémon Tribute when we were announcing it on the 29th April 2016.

She made sure to get one of the two spots for one of the most popular Pokémon of  all time with Charizard and submitted her take on the heavy Dragon Claw move only 5 days later already. She joined the Project again with two more submissions to it later and I am sure we did not see the last from her on GA-HQ! Her name is programme and you can expect to see a lot Dragon related art in her portfolio on dA here!

Charizard Dragon Claw

“Sharp, huge claws hook and slash the foe quickly and with great power”

The Dragon Claw move is a strong attack that deals physical damage and has no side-effects. it was introduced in the Pokémon Generation III games and can be “teached” to Charizard and Charmeleon among others.

Charizard used Flamethrower (Pokemon Tribute on Game-Art-HQ.com) by Diego Porto

Charizard used Flamethrower by Diego Porto

Diego Porto from Brazil really wanted to take more of the Pokémon after his take on Charizard’s Flamethrower but finding the time for our hobbies is often enough a problem, especially if it can take as much time as a thought out artwork, done at home. I look forward to your next works now Diego 🙂

Charizard Flamethrower

“The foe is scorched with an intense blast of fire. The target may also be left with a burn.”

The Flamethrower is a Fire-Type move that was introduced in the first Generation Pokémon games already and is mostly a pure damage dealing attack, there is a 10% chance that it will burn the opponent though.

The Flamethrower move is a part of the Super Smash Bros. games since it’s start btw. Charizard used it already in the first SSB and Melee when he was released from a Pokéball, in SSB Brawl, it became the main special move of the playable Charizard.

Charizard Pokemon Red and Blue Official Art Render

“Spits fire that is hot enough to melt boulders. Known to cause forest fires unintentionally”

Charizard is the final evolution of Charmander and is no longer a small reptile or dinosaur like Pokémon but a Dragon with all the moves you expect from such a Monster.

It is the game mascot of Pokémon Red and its remake FireRed and one of the most popular Pokémon among the final forms of the starters. So far it is also one of only two Pokémon (Mewtwo being the other one) that has more than one Mega-Evolve since Gen VI. Charizard is  one of the playable Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as well as in Pokken Tournament.
