Secret of Mana first Boss Art by Joel Sousa

Twenty years ago, one of the best 16 bit action adventures was released, with the Secret of Mana for the Super Nintendo.

An awesome game about a young boy who finds a legendary sword at the begin of the game and gets banned from there for using it against monsters like the one in this illustration by Joel Sousa.

Secret of Mana got a sequel only released in Japan for the SNES as well and also more games set in the same universe but for unknown reasons very different from the first two games.

Till today, fans are waiting for Secret of Mana 3.
