Kai debuted in Mortal Kombat 4 as one of the new protagonists of the series, he was introduced as a former White Lotus Society member and friend of Liu Kang himself. He learned his fighting skills from great Asian masters and joined Liu Kang in the battle against the fallen Elder God Shinnok and his servants like Quan Chi. In his ending, Kai does not know what he should do next but gets the staff of Raiden which can grant him Immortality if used right. ~ Kai has a very unusual moveset in Mortal Kombat 4 with rising and falling fireballs instead of the standard vertical projecticles. He also has a handwalk stance from where he can launch a Leg Sweep or Throw attack. |
