Johnny Cage was thought to be dead after his gravestone was part of the Graveyard Stage in Mortal Kombat 3, but the MK Team decided to bring him back with a kinda cheesy story..just to decide to kill him again in the ending. Eventually things changed though and somehow Johnny returned in Mortal Kombat 4 and now was changed to be one of the coolest protagonists eventually in Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) He has more or less the same moves as in Mortal Kombat II,only that red Shadow Kick in the console versions and some of his finishing moves were really new. That and the actor playing Johnny Cage was a different one because “problems” with the former actor who followed his love for Tattoo’s and Assassin’s and was never seen again 😉
