Major Jackson Briggs, better known as Jax is Sonya Blade’s partner in the Special Forces team later and he searches for her to rescue Sonya from Outworld and to find Kano.
He is successful in his mission but Kano can escape again and joins the forces of Shao Kahn. He was played by John Parrish in Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 and fans at that time kinda saw him as the Balrog of Mortal Kombat while he did not have a boxing background. He is also seen as one of the most powerful characters in MK2 thanks to his variety of special moves which include projectiles, ground shaking, and grabbing.
