Kurtis Stryker was the first Mortal Kombat character with a bit humor added to his personality and visual design after Johnny Cage and was often called a joke character who seemed to be inspired by John Mc Clane from the Die Hard movies and sticks to weapons like a taser gun, grenades and his baton. A normal NYPD police guy among all those ninjas, assassins, monsters and fighters with supernatural powers like shooting ice and spitting acid? Stryker was able to keep himself alive during Shao Kahn’s Invasion on Earthrealm though and had a great comeback with a more serious design in Mortal Kombat 9 – ValentrisRRock from Russia draw Stryker from MK3 for our Mortal Kombat Art Tribute in January 2013 showing that even a normal “mortal” can beat Shao Kahn and won’t even care to see him exploding 🙂 Police Brutality Coming Up!
