Hanbei Takenaka is one of the playable characters in the Sengoku Basara games since he debuted as one of the unlockable characters in Sengoku Basara 2 (2006). He only appeared in a cutscene in Sengoku Basara 3 but is a playable in all other games of the series up to Sengoku BASARA Sanada Yukimura-den (2016). He fights with a Sword that can be used like a Whip, similar to the weapon of Ivy Valentine in the SoulCalibur games. Hanbei is a strategist who is loyal to Hideyoshi Toyotomo. The character is based on Shigeharu Takenaka, a samurai who died of illness at the age of 34. |
