Lee Chaolan is a playable character from the Tekken fighting game series that debuted as one of the unlockable Mid-Boss characters in the first Tekken (1994). Lee returned in the direct sequel Tekken 2 (1995) again as a Mid-Boss and was absent in Tekken 3 (1997).

In Tekken 4 (2001), Lee Chaolan returned with the Violet persona but the differences were only different costumes mainly.  Lee returned again as an unlockable character in Tekken 5 (2004) but was playable from the start in the update Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (2005) and all sequels and spinoff games like Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (2011). Lee was one of the last returning characters that were added after the arcade launch of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution (2016). He is again also playable as Violet there.

In Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Violet and Lee Chaolan have a few different moves or different versions of certain moves.

While Lee Chaolan started as a Marshall Law clone with a similar moveset, he got many unique moves in the first Tekken Tag Tournament (1999) and became a truly unique character finally in Tekken 5.
