Weedle used Poison Sting by Cubehero

Cubehero from Germany is a Game-Art-HQ contributor since almost 2 years now but submitted mostly fighting game related video game fan art including this Dizzy from Guilty Gear art that won our July 2016 Art Challenge. That he would join our  Pokémon tribute with Weedle was a total surprise! He drew over hundred video game fan arts here which you should  see if you like the Weedle above!

“A Poison-type attack. Has a one-in-three chance of leaving the target poisoned”

The Poison Sting is the first Poison-type move the Weedle can use. It is damage dealing and also has a 30% chance of poisoning the enemy.  Weedle is also the first Pokémon in the Pokédex that can use the Poison Sting without the help of items.

Weedle used String Shot by Christidolly

Christidolly from Spain was actually encouraged by her boyfriend to participate in our Pokémon Project and drew Weedle back in May already. I look forward to see more submissions from her!

“Binds the foe with string to reduce its Speed.

The String Shot is not dealing any damage to the opponent(s) but reduces their speed significantly. Since the Gen VI games, it decreases the speed for two stages instead of one. Unlike other Bug-Type moves that affect the stats, its accuracy is not 100%.

The String Shot is one of the first moves a Weedle can use.

“Often found in forests, eating leaves. It has a sharp venomous stinger on its head”

Weedle is a dual-type Bug/Poison Pokémon and evolves into Kakuna from level 7 already and finally into Beedril. Weedle is like a small larvar with a stinger on its head. Weedle’s can be found in forests often where they are eating leaves. The Weedle is the only Pokémon so far that can not learn any normal type moves.
