Rock Howard is one of the playable characters in Garou: Mark of the Wolves (1999) the last Fatal Fury game and is the son of the series main antagonist, Geese Howard. Rock became also a playable character in the crossover fighting games Capcom vs. SNK 2 (2001) and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum (2005).

While Rock Howard did not yet become a playable character in the King of Fighters main series games, he is in The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact (2004) and its sequel KOF MI2 (2006) and its Regulation “A” Update (2007).

Rock Howard also joined The King of Fighters XIV as one of the DLC characters in 2017. In 2022, Rock Howard joined The King of Fighters XV as part of the first trio of DLC characters.

He plays a lot like Geese in the Maximum Impact games while he has more own moves in the 2D fighters.
