Regina is the main protagonist of Dino Crisis (1999) and its sequel Dino Crisis 2 (2000). Regina also appeared in the Japan only Namco X Capcom crossover that was released in 2005. She is the most popular game character from the Dino Crisis games but the series is discontinued after the third part in 2003, it is unlikely there will be another sequel, but Regina might appear in another crossover game maybe. She was designed by Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series and the first Dino Crisis game. Her real name is actually unknown, Regina is just her alias of a female U.S. special forces operative. She was one of the first female main protagonists in a survival / horror game. |
