The Deku Scrub is a recurring enemy type from the Legend of Zelda series that debuted in Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 in 1998. It returned in Zelda: Majora’s Mask (2000) and for the first time in 2D with Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Time (2001) on the Game Boy. The Deku Scrub returned only in handheld Zelda games since then, the currently latest game with them is Zelda: Tri Force Heroes (2015) where the Deku Scrubs got a new design for the 4th time now. Deku Scrubs are a tribe of forest creatures, they are usually spitting Deku Nuts to attack Link. |
