The Inklings are the main protagonists of Splatoon (2015), a third person shooter for the Nintendo Wii U. The player can choose between an Inkling Girl or Boy and customize their looks like the hair colors etc. There are also a few specific Inklings that play a role in the story of Splatoon but the two playable ones have no own names. Inklings are normally looking very similar to the Blooper enemies from Super Mario Bros. but they can change their form to look like humans and be very agile above the sea.
