The Boom Boom is both a race and an individual enemy and boss from the Super Mario games. Boom Boom debuted as boss in the fortresses of Super Mario Bros. 3 (1989) on the NES and its ports and remakes like Super Mario All-Stars. He returned after 23 years for the first time and became one of the main antagonists in Super Mario 3D Land (2011) on the Nintendo DS. In New Super Mario Bros U (2012) they are mainly the Tower bosses. Their last big appearance so far is in Super Mario 3D World (2013) Boom Boom returns as a boss of multiple worlds. |
