Bill Rizer from Contra in the GA-HQ Video Game Character DB

Bill Rizer is the main protagonist of the majority of the Contra games by Konami. He is usually the first player character and debuted in the first Contra game which was released for arcades in February 1987 and later ported to the NES. There is not a lot known about him but he fought against the Alien Contra Force for almost his whole life and died in the final events of Neo Contra (2004). Bill Rizer was based on Arnold Schwarzenegger, his name is a tribute to the actors Bill Paxton and Paul Reiser. |
