Sparkster is the main protagonist of the Rocket Knight Adventures games which debuted in 1993 on the Sega Mega Drive. He was originally planned to be a new mascot character for Konami, but who knows..maybe the games didn’t sell that well while they were great side-scrolling action platformers.

And yes..Sparkster is one of the few Oppossums in Video Games.

The series was very short-lived with only 3 titles. Sparkster had a comeback though in 2010 with Rocket Knight which was released in 2010 for the Xbox360, the Playstation 3 and even Windows.

Sparkster is also a unlockable character in New International Track & Field on the Nintendo DS and Krazy Kart Racing on the Iphone
