Smoke debuted in Mortal Kombat 2 as a secret unplayable opponent, in Mortal Kombat 3 he was turned into the first secret but unlockable character. Like Cyrax and Sektor he is a Lin Kuei, but unlike these he was turned into a cyborg against his will and wanted to flee together with Sub Zero. He is programmed to find and finish Sub Zero like the others… ~ Back in MK2, Smoke was just a grey palette swap of Scorpion and had no own moves..this changed in Mortal Kombat 3 where he has moves from both Cyrax and Sektor but also a few own ones including the old spear attack similar to the one of Scorpion..he also has some of the funniest Fatalities ever in the game. ~ Smoke was programmed to kill his former friend Sub Zero but somehow he still had a soul and his own will and that his real mission is to defeat the Outworld Invaders. While he defeats Shao Kahn and saves Earthrealm according to his ending, he will never be a real human again…
