Prince Goro and even the powerful sorcerer Shang Tsung were defeated in the Mortal Kombat tournament and Shao Kahn, the Emperor of Outworld lured the Earthrealm Warriors into his realm for a new tournament which would decide the future of both realms and make him participate in the tournament if Shang Tsung would fail again. ~ Shao Kahn was and is one of the most difficult fighting game bosses ever and without knowing his weaknesses very hard to beat. Not only is he a lot more powerful than anyone else including even Kintaro, he also has an arsenal of moves into all directions and is not ashamed to spam them sometimes. Losing against Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat II is not a disgrace. One super awesome feature of Shao Kahn were his many taunts he would say before, during or after a fight. “PREPARE TO DIE!!” “DIE MORTAL!!” “YOU WEAK PATHETICK FOOL!! were just a few of them. Shao Kahn is also the announcer in Mortal Kombat II and comments strong actions sometimes with laughing or an impressed “Outstanding!!”
