Yesterday i could feature a great and nearly forgotten game with this Alien Soldier fan art, today i can continue the nostalgia trip with a journey back to the early nineties and the Battletoads series made by Tradewest /Rare.

These games were all 2d beat’em ups like Final Fight or the most of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games and while the Battletoads were for sure inspired by TMNT they had their own charm and a ton of funny ideas were added to their games.

Not so fun was the friggin’ difficulty however..only really good players were able to beat a Battletoads game.

Jmatchead the artist who draw this fan art of Rash, Zitz, Pimple and the Dark Queen made some frustrating experiences with the games like myself back in 1993 too.
