The Pidgit is a small and pretty rare enemy in their debut game Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988) and the Super Mario series in general since they had their only real return as enemies in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (2005) and never became recurring enemy types like the Goomba and many other enemies of the first Mario Bros games on the NES.

Pidgit uses a magic carpet to fly around and is pretty easy to defeat. The cool bonus is that Mario and his friends will be able to use the magic carpet for a short while. The Pidgit was totally black in the original NES version of SMB2, since the remake on the SNES however the Pidgits are blue while they are purple in the GBA port.
