Lei Wulong is one of the playable characters in the Tekken fighting games since Tekken 2 in 1995. He returned in all sequels up to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (2011) and was one of the downloadable characters in Street Fighter X Tekken (2012), but did not appear in the arcade version of Tekken 7 and its Update Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.

Alongside Anna Williams, Lei was finally revealed to return in Tekken 7 during the Evo 2018 as a dlc character.

Lei Wulong uses multiple Kung Fu styles including Drunken Fist (Zuì Quán) and can switch between them during a battle, he is one of the most technical and complicated characters to learn. Lei looks very similar to the popular martial art movie actor Jackie Chan and is usually portrayed as a police detective from Hong Kong that can get into some pretty funny (for the viewers) situations while he is a very skilled fighter.
