“The foe is given an intimidating leer with sharp eyes. The target’s Defense stat is reduced.“

Leer is a Normal-Type move introduced in Generation I. Used by a great multitude of Pokemon, Leer is an intimidating move used to lower an opponent’s defense.

The move can be used multiple times to decrease the opponents’ defense stats by one level. In future Double Battles of subsequent Generations, both opponents are affected by this move. However in Triple Battles, it will only hit the Pokemon closest to the user.

Dreamgate-Gad from Peru is one of the most active Game-Art-HQ Contributors now since around two years and started with a really unpopular character from the Final Fight games for one of our fighting game related projects and participated in almost all later art activites, our Pokémon Tribute however got his full dedication, today in September 2016 he drew already nine of the 151 lovely beasts! The Caterpie was the 2nd Pokémon he drew for this project.

You can see his whole gallery on dA here!

“A single-hit knockout attack. Learned only by Pokémon with a horn or horns.“

Horn Drill is a very powerful Normal-Type attack introduced in Generation I. If it connects, it has the ability to deliver a one-hit K.O. to the opponent. Hence why it’s PP usage is very short and the accuracy very low. As it’s name suggests; only Pokemon with horn or horns can use this move.

“A Pokémon with a one-track mind. Once it charges, it won’t stop running until it falls asleep”

Many of the Pokemon are based on real animals and Rhyhorn is most likely based on the Indian Rhinoceros. It is much smaller than these impressive animals with a height of only 1 metre but powerful enough to beat many similar or larger Pokemon. Don’t let it hit you with its Horn Drill attack.
