Ninetales used Fire Blitz by Lilith-the-5th

Laura Galli from Italy is an active part of Game-Art-HQ since around two years and participated in art collaborations like the Playstation’s Anniversary and our Final Fantasy IX Collaboration with OverClockedRemix that combined Music with visual Art.

She claimed Ninetales in May already and helped us out in September when only Closyster and a few other Pokemon were still available. I recommend to visit her whole gallery here!

“The user cloaks itself in fire and charges at the foe. The user sustains serious damage, too. “

Flare Blitz is a powerful Fire-Type attack introduced in Generation IV. It is sort of a double-edged sword with equal amounts of benefits and risk.

Among the benefits are the chances of both burning the target and thawing out of Frozen status. But in exchange the user will be damaged by the recoil of the move equal to one third of the damage the target receives.

SapphireTH from the USA drew only Mega Glaceon before she joined our Art Collaboration, and her take on the recently revealed Alolan form of Ninetales was her only contribution in this project. I look forward to her future works though!

“A sinister bluish white flame is shot at the floe to inflict a burn. “

Named after the ghostly phenomena of legend, Will-O-Wisp is a Fire-Type move introduced in Generation III. It has been found as TM Move TM 61 since Generation IV.

Will-O-Wisp exists solely to inflict the target with Burn status. As such, Fire-Type Pokemon are not affected by this. It is particularly common to obtain with certain Ghost-Type Pokemon as they level up given its spiritual nature and origin.

“Very smart and very vengeful. Grabbing one of its many tails could result in a 1000-year curse”

Clearly modeled after the mythical Kitsune of Japanese folklore, Ninetales is an elegant Fire-Type Pokemon that appears when exposing a Vulpix to a Fire Stone.

It’s beauty and grace are deceptive. It is in fact a very cunning Pokemon that can become very vengeful if enraged or mistreated; befitting the nature of its mythical origins. So intelligent is it that it can understand human speech; though unlike Team Rocket’s Meowth it does not speak it. It is also an incredibly long-living Pokemon; capable of existing for well over 1,000 years.

The inclusion of the nine-tailed fox has stretched far across the spectrum of Pokemon and Pokemon-related games. Other game series like Digimon and Yo-kai Watch have also included their own versions; mostly referred to as Kyubi.
