Artists own words:
“I’ve gone back to playing a lot of Super Smash Bros. at the moment, so that’s where this Captain Falcon picture came from. Yes, it’s everyone’s favourite, over-excited, bounty-hunting, F-Zero racer!
I think he’s a great character – in that he’s exactly that, a character. I wanted to capture the ridiculous-ness here and to experiment with some vivid colours. I started this by sketching a few different poses to see what would work best and they all came out with really exaggerated muscles.
It just felt right for the Cap’ain. Turns out, as I was drawing him, there’s a fine line between making him look like Magneto or Captain Falcon… be careful of how you draw his helmet!
Oh, and finally – before everyone else says it: Falcon Paunch! – Please, I don’t want to hear anymore!”
