Barubary is one of the main antagonists in Breath of Fire II, a great JRPG which was developed by Capcom for the Super Nintendo in 1994.This is one of those characters which are more or less forgotten and did not appear in any newer games but it has become a damn cool trend that Game-Art-HQ members are illustrating old video game characters almost nobody remembers anymore and they draw them with a dedication rarely seen elsewhere. This artwork by Tom Kyster who is on board GAHQ since 2011 already is a phenomenal tribute to Breath of Fire II and illustrates the one on one battle option of Ryu vs. Barubary. It got the well deserved Daily Deviation treatment on DeviantART and is another breath-taking example how old games can look in a new light. Art Challenge Mastered 10/10! |
