Asura, also called Asra is a character from the Samurai Shodown series by SNK and the main protagonist of Samurai Shodown 64 -2 Warriors Rage (1998), the second 3D based SS gamewhich was only released for the Hyper NeoGeo Arcade Hardware and never ported to a home console or released outside Japan. In 2005 Asura was revealed to be a playable character in the crossover fighting game NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, since than he did not appear in any other games so far. Asura is a Demon who was imprisoned by Yuga the Destroyer, the antagonist in Samurai Shodown 64 and according to the story the one who eventually defeats him. |
