Ico is an excellent 3D Action Adventure /Platformer made by Team Ico from the SCE Japan Studios back in 2001 as one of the first waves of Playstation 2 games. Later it was released for the system and also saw an HD Upgrade and was bundled together with Shadow of the Colossus on the Playstation 3. It got very positive reviews by almost all magazines and websites and is known as one of the gems of the PS2 era till today. The game’s protagonist who is named Ico is a young boy and has to help and also defend Yorda a young girl which accompanies him through the game. Ico is quite unique through its gameplay as well as through the art style and it is no wonder that many artists wanted to illustrate one or another aspect of the game.
