Awww..chibi Samus Aran on a super cute Metroid 🙂 No wonder that this piece by the malaysian artist thestarofpisces won the dA Group Game Art HQ Chibi Art Contest in June 2012. Around 20 artists participated in that contest, but the votings were clear by the end! As a big Metroid fan (at least of Metroid 1-3) it was nice for me as well to see a great Metroid entry which brought back good memories of Super Metroid and also captured the theme of the contest to draw video game characters in the “Chibi” style. This reminds me that i should organize another style related contest on the dA group soon.
