Sheeva from Mortal Kombat 3 in the Soul Chamber Stage, 3D modeled and sculptured by Aemiliuslives

April 2018 Daily Sculpting Challenge, Day 17 (a.k.a. “I have nightmares of 3d-sculpting my own face, lol”). This is my 3D-sculpture of Sheeva, from “Mortal Kombat 3“. As usual, I made it in Sculptris Zbrush Keyshot Photoshop.

Mortal Kombat 3 was the last (numbered) game in the series that used actors and digitized them for all the brutal action in the game. There were just two exceptions: Sheeva and Motaro from the Outworld Realm.

The Midway Chicago Team had to create action figures made of clay for them and use the good old stop motion technique to create the animations the two have in the game. The results were great for the time, any some fans still prefer her old design to the newer ones seen in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Mortal Kombat (2011).

Aemiliuslives from Argentina is a part of Game-Art-HQ since years and participated in our big Mortal Kombat Tribute with multiple submissions

Like myself he is still a big fan of the Mortal Kombat games and creates fan art of the characters. Unlike the majority of the artists on dA that submit 3D based fan art, he is not simply using ripped models from the game but creates them completely by himself using software like ZBrush and Sculptris and uses Photoshop for additional effects and edits. I recommend to have a look at his whole portfolio here which includes a lot of non-video game related art as well!
