Vertigo is one of the playable characters in Atari’s Primal Rage, released in 1994 for the Arcades and later ported to many home consoles. She was also a playable character in the canceled sequel Primal Rage 2. In the first Primal Rage, Vertigo is also the boss character. |

Vertigo from Primal Rage drawn for the Game-Art-HQ Video Game Character Database
Vertigo is a pretty interesting beast design, but her dark background story, as well as her very effective moveset, made her really one of the most interesting Primal Rage characters. I think it just fits that she is the first character from the game, drawn for our VG Character DB Project here.
Mortalshinobi, one of the artists that are on board since 2011 already, drew her with his usual dedication and called his piece the “Serpent Queen”. A name that totally fits Vertigo!
