Raticate used Hyper Fang by DragonchildX

DragonchildX aka Aurora from Hungary draws a lot types of different art, ranging from landscapes to human characters, fan art and now also two of the 151 classic Pokémon with Raticate being the first one, drawn in May already and Dewgong (with the Aurora Beam…!) in August.

I look forward to see more of this talented artist when we start our next art collaborations in 2017!

“The user bites hard on the target with its sharp front fangs. It may also make the target flinch.”

The benefits of Hyper Fang as a Normal-Type move are seen in what damage it can inflict and how it can turn the tide in the user’s favor. More than just being a damaging move, the 10% chance the target will flinch causing the user to immediately go again is just as valuable.

Raticate used Uproar by Hedgey

Hedgey aka Gina from the UK  is another one of the artists that joined Game-Art-HQ in May 2016 to participate in the Pokémon Tribute. She started with a super cute take on Meowth, continued with Arbok and also  created truly epic Ditto illustration for this project. Raticate was her last submission for the Gen I Tribute.

She also draws a ton of stuff including more Pokémon related art on dA , you should visit her whole gallery here!

“The user attacks in an uproar that prevents sleep for two to five turns.”

Uproar is a Normal-Type attack that causes damage for 2 to 5 turns; to which the user can use no other attacks until completed. It also wakes up Pokémon from Sleep status as well as prevent Pokémon from being afflicted with Sleep.

I is possible that if an opponent uses Yawn before the Uproar starts; it can still fall asleep.

“Gnaws on anything with its tough fangs. It can even topple concrete buildings by gnawing on them.”

Raticate is the evolved form of Rattata starting at Level 20. It’s most notable features are its giant incisors which gives it the ability to chew through anything. Its desire to gnaw on anything (alive or not) is partly due to its need to constantly sharpen its fangs as they constantly are growing.

Like Rattata; it is a Normal-Type Pokémon. Though, Pokemon Moon/Sun there is also a Dark/Normal Dual Type variant of the Raticate.
