Bulbasaur Pokémon Razor Leaf Attack (Game-Art-HQ.com Pokémon Tribute) by Koui

Bulbasaur used Razor Leaf by Naomi “Koui” R Masingale

Koui, the artist behind the Razor Leaf illustration was one of the first artists that claimed one of the 151 Gen I Pokémon in our project.

She is a member of the Game-Art-HQ Community on dA since years and contributed a good couple more really cool video game artworks including a Ryo Sakazaki in his classic Art of Fighting look, you can view her whole gallery here.

Bulbasaur Razor Leaf

The Razor Leaf is a pure attack move with a high critical hit rate, as a nice side effect it also destroys grass patches in the backgrounds of the battles. It is mostly used by the Grass-Type Pokémon with Bulbasaur being one of the first that could use it. The Razor Leaf is also used as a side special move by Ivysaur in Smash Bros. Brawl!

Bulbasaur Pokémon Vine Whip Attack (Game-Art-HQ.com Pokémon Tribute) by SilverTheCreator

Bulbasaur used Vine Whip by SilverTheCreator

SilverTheCreator was one of the first artists on board our Pokémon Tribute that were not a part of the GA-HQ community before, and we look forward to her future contributions, her take on Bulbasaur was her last of six submissions to this project btw.

Bulbasaur-Vine-Whip

The Vine Whip is also a pure attack move that was introduced in the classic Gen I Pokémon games. Like the Razor Leaf it is a Grass-Type attack, but it has no special side effects. It is the main special move of Ivysaur in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

“A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this Pokémon”

Bulbasaur is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon and alongside Charmander and Squirtle it was one of the three starter Pokémon in the first three Pokémon games and their remakes (FireRed & LeafGreen) Till today it is one of the more popular Pokémon and made it also into the Smash Bros. series as a random item in Smash. Bros Melee and Brawl.

It was one of the first  Pokémon that were claimed by two artists for our project, the Razor Leaf Bulbasaur was submitted on the 1st May already by Koui, just one day after we started this art collaboration!

You can read more about the Bulbasaur and see more official Game Art from it here
