Doctor Strange is a superhero from the Marvel Universe and made his video game debut in the Sega Master System version of The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin (1992) where he is an advisor of Spider-Man during in cutscenes between the stages.

Doctor Strange was playable for the first time in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (2006) and returned in more games in the recent years as a playable character including Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (2011), Marvel: Avengers: Battle for Earth (2012) and Marvel: Contest of Champions (2015).
