Castlevania Symphony of the Night, known as Akumajō Dracula X: Gekka no Yasōkyoku in Japan was the first Castlevania game for the Playstation and unlike the Nintendo 64 games it sticked to the old 2D formular but added a Metroid similar explore and go back gameplay featuring Alucard the son of Dracula as the main protagonist who fights with Swords instead of the traditional Castlevania weapon, the whip.

The game was a massive success and till today it is known as one of the best Castlevania games, the most of the later games took a lot elements from this game while adding new features as well of course.

Richter Belmont is a playable secret character in the Playstation version, in the Sega Saturn version released later, Maria Renard was added as the third playable character.

Fans are drawing this game and its popular characters like Alucard till today and probably more than every other Castlevania so far.

In this fan art gallery of Castlevania SOTN you can see featured art made by fans of the game which illustrated either the game itself or multiple of its characters, via the tags below the artworks you can also find art about Alucard etc.
